"AM I BEING ABUSED?"

Abuse is using force or threats of force to control someone. Some forms of abuse are more difficult to recognize than others. The most common types of abuse are physical, emotional, verbal, economic, mental, and sexual abuse. For more information about abuse, click here.

"HOW DOES ABUSE AFFECT ME?"

Abuse affects many aspects of your life. As a victim of abuse you may feel fear, worthless, betrayed, angry, at fault, hopeless, isolated, depressed, numb, and/or shame.

"ARE MY CHILDREN
AFFECTED BY ABUSE?"

VIOLENCE HURTS EVERYONE! Children are affected by abuse in the home whether they are witness to the abuse or not. Children can feel the atmosphere of tension and fear in their home.
